Community work: Heritage Open Days

MAD Ideas were overjoyed to receive two sparkly Gold Star awards by BBC television broadcaster Nicholas Owen and the Mayor for our contribution to Heritage Open Days.

Heritage Open Days has seen a record turnout, helping poorer families access places they wouldn’t normally be able to visit. As well as designing the specially themed Heritage Open Days brochure, MAD Ideas created child-friendly materials including interactive handouts, fun stickers and giant cutout props, bringing the event to life for children and families.

“What a huge benefit you have been to local businesses and national organisations, as well as the local community. Huge thanks for the improvements you have made to the Open Heritage Days over the years, resulting in increasing numbers. This year’s edition is a tremendous benefit to reaching out to families. The cutout is a fantastic draw for families. The brochure also provides a great deal of historical information for the housebound and low income families who would not usually be able to access free historical events. I have now learnt anything is possible with Mad Ideas!”
